This white water kayak trip (class I and II) gives beginners and advanced the opportunity to gain experience and paddle a new river. This trip is not a kayak clinic, but is a wonderful opportunity to practice your kayaking techniques under the guidance of a qualified instructor in a calm section of the river.
The tour lasts about 4 hours in total and is great for passengers who are willing to paddle and follow instructions of the guide.

The tour starts at 8:30 AM or 11:30 AM at our base in La Virgen de Sarapiquí. After gearing up, we take a short drive to the calm section of the Sarapiquí River.
You'll begin with a safety briefing and basic paddling practice, then enjoy a fun and scenic 12 km descent on Class I–II rapids — perfect for beginners.
Your guide will lead the way, help you improve your technique, and point out wildlife and jungle plants.
After about 2 hours on the water, we return to the base where you’ll get a towel, change, and enjoy a fresh tropical snack.
It is important to take into account that we are approximately ***2 hours*** away from San José, therefore routes must be verified and considered in advance to prevent any delays.
