Jbel Lakraa is the highest mountain in Talassemtane national park (2159m). On this full day excursion we will take you to discover its amazing landscape and unique biodiversity.
We will pick you up from your hotel and A 4WD vehicle will take you through villages, green pastures and the forests of the region. You will reach Plaza de Espana. It is a beautiful spot for you to rest, relax, and enjoy the surrounding landscape full of the most unique Moroccan fir (Abies Marocaca). The Place D’Espagne leads you in a nice trek to the summit of Mount Lakraa, which is 2159 meters above sea level. From this location you will see the Mediterranean coast below, as well as the surrounding areas. It is a great panoramic view.
Continuation, by hiking down to Mechkralla village where we will enjoy a delicious Moroccan lunch in a rural house, and where we will find the 4WD waiting for us to take us back to Chefchaouen. But not before taking a Morocca tea with medicinal herbs.

The park also contains other endemic plant species to the Spanish/Maghrebi biodiversity hotspot such as the endangered Atlas cedar and Andalusian Belladonna Atropa baetica.The Bearded vulture and over 100 other birds have been observed at the park
