Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a famous Hindu temple near Rishikesh, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It's located in the middle of lush green forests and beautiful hills. According to legend, this is the place where Lord Shiva drank poison during the churning of the ocean, which turned his throat blue—earning him the name “Neelkanth,” meaning “blue throat.” The temple is peaceful, spiritual, and attracts pilgrims and trekkers alike.
