The Royal Gorge is one of the most thrilling and exciting whitewater rafting trips on the Arkansas River. Enjoy the beauty and thrill of God’s creation as you experience 1,000 foot high canyon walls, confront exciting Class III-V rapids, and see the famous Royal Gorge Bridge. Full-day trips start with Bighorn Canyon (class III-IV), break for a delicious riverside lunch, then drop into the Royal Gorge (class IV-V).
Journey Quest is a non-profit Christ-centered rafting ministry, and these trip are uplifting, family-friendly adventures. The Royal Gorge is a serious section of river. Previous class III or higher paddling experience and strong swimming ability are recommended for all guests. For the safety of our guests and guides, we cannot take guests who are over 250lbs or individuals with a history of heart or serious medical problems.

From Colorado Springs, take I-25 to exit 140, and follow Hwy 115 South to Hwy 50.
Turn right (west) on Hwy 50 and travel West through Canon City.
From Canon City continue 8 miles West on Hwy 50, and turn left on County Rd 3A (Signs for Royal Gorge Park & Bridge).
Journey Quest is approx 1/4 mile on the right in front of the Royal Gorge KOA.
Plan on just over an hour from Downtown Colorado Springs.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your trip to check-in at our rafting office.
A waiver is required for each member of your party. Prior to your trip, please complete your waivers online here: https://journeyquest.org/waivers
You may need to click "Adjust Search Filter" and select the date of your reservation. Then look for the party leader's name on the reservation list.
There is no need to bring printed tickets or waivers with you to Journey Quest. We look forward to meeting you!
