Explore the primeval forest, visit Buddha statues and admire the city from different heights as you step to the top of Son Tra mountain.
Climb to the top of Son Tra Mountain for a panoramic view of Danang City and Danang Beach stretching in sight. With the highest peak 696 m above sea level, located on Son Tra Peninsula, Son Tra mountain is home to many species of monkeys, hence the other name Monkey Mountain.

Visitors can climb the mountain by car, motorbike, or interesting. On the way to the top, stop by Linh Ung Pagoda, walk around the vast temple grounds with solemn Buddha statues. The full name is Linh Ung Bai But and is an important pilgrimage site for Vietnamese Buddhists. One of the most important highlights of the pagoda is the 67-meter-high Quan Am statue facing the East Sea, helping the fishermen at the foot of the mountain. Then go to the temple to visit 21 Buddha statues at each floor. At night, the tower shines again in the magical light.

Find hordes of funny monkeys living along the path up the mountain. Primeval forest on Son Tra mountain is also home to many other wildlife such as wild boar, deer, rare reptiles and silver pheasant.

The mountain is also the location of a military radar station with an important role in protecting Vietnam's airspace and waters. The mountain also has a heliport that can accommodate 16 aircraft, each used by the US military

The five mountains are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth).

All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels, and it is possible to climb to the summit of Mount Thuy. Several Buddhist sanctuaries can also be found within the mountains, making this a tourist destination.

The area is known for stone sculpture making and stone-cutting crafts. Direct rock extraction from the mountains was banned recently. Materials are now being transported from quarries in Quảng Nam Province.
The Marble Mountains are home to several Buddhist and Hindu grottoes. A stairway of 156 steps leads to the summit of Thuy Son, the only Marble Mountain accessible to visitors. It allows a wide panoramic view of the surrounding area and the other marble mountains. There are a number of grottoes, including Huyen Khong and Tang Chon, and many Hindu and Buddhist sanctuaries, the temples of Tam Thai, Tu Tam and Linh Ung, and the pagoda of Pho Dong. The sanctuaries feature statues and relief depictions of religious scenes carved out of the marble.
