Stop 1 Pass by

8.00AM The tour guide and vehicle will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi, then depart for Cuc Phuong national park towards to the Southwest of Hanoi. It takes about 2.5 hours (130km) to get to Cuc Phuong national park. In case you do not need a hotel pickup, please go to this meeting point - Hanoi Opera House to meet our tour guide and driver.

We will firstly visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates, and to the protection of their habitats.

Then you keep going into the park central. Relax for a while then have lunch at house-on-stilt in the middle of the jungle (the lunch is not included and you pay for it. It will cost around 9 USD per person). Taking a short trek into the National Park for sightseeing and learn more of fauna and flora in this oldest forest of Vietnam, to the giant ancient tree of 1000 years old in middle of the jungle.

Back to the Park Centre to visit the “Cave of Pre-historic Man", the limestone cave which was excavated in 1966. It was one of the earliest discoveries of human habitation in the country, with graves, stone axes, bone-made spears and tools dating back some 7,500 years. During the excavation 44 years ago, archaeologists found skeletons in three tombs where they believed prehistoric people had lived in the forest 7,500 years ago. In 2000, archaeologists discovered a fossilised sea reptile called placodontia, the first to have been found in Southeast Asia, dating back 200-300 million years.

Get back to the van and take 2.5 drive back to Hanoi. End this tour around 6.30pm at your hotel.
