Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Everyone knows Santorini for its spooky volcanic landscape, the contrast of its magnificent white houses with the blue of the Aegean, the stunning sunset of Oia and the magnificent Fira.
The beauties of the island, however, include a village that is undoubtedly worthy of being included in the "must" of Santorini. About 10 kilometers from Fira is the famous Tower, the old - until 1800 - capital of the island. It is located in its inland, on the highest point of Santorini, in Prophet Elias.
In the center of the tower is the medieval castle with the houses amphitheatrically built around it. It combines the characteristics of the Venetian era, with scattered churches, mansions and country houses, and has been preserved as a monument. The whole village is a challenge for the visitor, who has the opportunity to climb the castle, stroll through the alleys with the distinctive "color" and enjoy the famous Santorini sunset, let alone Oia.
A visit to the monastery of Prophet Elias, up on the hilltop, is a must. There, visitors can marvel at the panoramic views of the island.
The monastery of Prophet Elias is one of the oldest churches of Santorini and its reconstruction dates back to the 10th century.
