Venice, or La Serenissima, is a city beloved by travelers and pigeons, artists and lovers. As soon as you emerge from Santa Lucia Train Station, it will seduce you with its Mediterranean palette of marble churches and colorful palazzos, red-tiled roofs and all shades of blue!

Explore major sights in the glow of early morning: the domes of St. Mark’s Basilica and its bell tower, the Gothic wonder of the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge and its centuries-old market. Then, as the piazzas fill, get lost in the small alleyways and streets away from the crowds, where you’ll discover quiet shops of Venetian wares, peaceful churches, and neighborhood bàcari, or Venetian bars, serving delicious Cicchetti, a local specialty.
