This is a self-guided audio tour that you can start, pause, or restart at any time and complete at your own pace. The tour uses GPS technology to play the appropriate audio tracks as you go. It follows a set route and includes turn-by-turn directions.

Detailed instructions are available on your ticket which you will receive after booking. Before arrival, please install the 2gotours mobile app and use the code provided on your ticket. Everything you need is included in one download.

Once you download the tour, everything is entirely contained on your device, you do not need a data plan.

Meeting point

This walking tour starts in the center of the Old Town, at the town square called Rathausplatz. If you turn your your GPS on (recommended) and enable 'location events' under 'Settings', the audio starts playing automatically once you enter Rathausplatz and get close to the fountain in the middle.

Before touring follow these steps to download the tour:

Step 2: Inside the app, click on 'All Tours' and locate 'GetyourGuide & Viator'. Here you find the 'Freiburg Walking Tour'. Click on it.
Step 3: Enter Code viator599 to download the tour content
Step 4: Click the Heart icon (Favorites) in the top right corner of the 'Freiburg Walking Tour'. The Heart icon will save the tour under your Profile.
Step 5: On to bottom of the App you will notice 4 tabs. Click on the Profile tab. Your Profile now contains the tour you have just downloaded onto your phone.
Step 6: In the top right corner of your Profile you find a Settings icon. Click on Settings. Then enable 'location events'. This will allow the audio content to get triggered during the tour.
Step 7: Head to the starting point - The app itself only requires GPS to function. The audio starts playing automatically once you get close to the starting point.
Step 8: You are ready to go!
