About this experience

Tour to discover a particular and unknown moment in the history of Assisi.
Men and women who inspired by the courage of St. Francis have decided to put their own lives at stake to save that of others. The protagonists have names little known even to the Assisans themselves but they make up an epic picture of the "seraphic" city between 1943 and 1945.
Tour in which we will reconstruct history and relive the dark atmosphere of that period, however, illuminated by the light of hope ...

Romanesque church, the only one in the city also the sepulcher of bishops and we will go to see the tomb of Bishop Placido Nicolini

One of the most popular places for displaced and persecuted people. The hospitality of the nuns was such that they managed to house dozens of people and entire families even for months. It was the monastery that became the "city" of the new arrivals! If available we can talk to one of the nuns of the monastery

From the story to the reality of handmade products still made today. We will end the tour by visiting one of the few craft shops still active in the city, where modernity and the past merge in an environment where history is breathed.

After so much talk, you can "touch" the care and love you need to continue using old tools to produce new products. Visit to the atelier.
