At this point, you will board an authentic Cayuco boat, to cruise through tropical mangroves on a canal dug to connect the harbors and bays. A Cayuco is a rustic, motorized canoe making this a true experience of what the locals use in their everyday lives. Make sure to keep an eye out for wildlife along the banks including a wide variety of birds. The cayuco boat ride takes about 1 hour.

Then, your air-conditioned transportation will be waiting to take you on a 10-minute ride to the politily bight Restaurant. This is your Roatan atv and Lunch excursion base camp. You will be matched with a atv that suits your skills and weight, and after brief instructions, you will be riding your atv to a secluded jungle and local community . Your Roatan atv guide will lead you on a calm pace ride along scenic roads and through the green rainforest. Then, time allowing, enjoy a slow ride on the beach along the water .

Start this Mangrove tunnel ATV adventure with lunch in Roatan by meeting with your excursion guide outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay). You will board the transportation for a 20-minute air-conditioned drive to the ATV excursion base camp to enjoy your ATV 4-wheel ride. The ATVs have automatic transmissions and are easy to drive as a beginner or advanced rider. Your guide will give you a briefing on the operation and safety instructions before heading off on a guided adventure. A safety helmet is provided and must be worn at all times. Your ATV shore excursion ride will take you through the lush jungle countryside and you'll be able to glimpse the wildlife that makes this island home. Some of the places you'll see are Punta Gorda, the Garifuna Village, Isery Restaurant Boat, and more! Enjoy views of the ocean while driving on dirt roads and over streams.
