Discover the Basilica of San Simplicio, the oldest and most important religious building in Gallura, dating back to the 11th century. An authentic masterpiece of Sardinian Romanesque and spiritual symbol of the city.

The building is located in the upper part of the historic center and was built on the ruins of a Roman-era pagan temple, possibly dedicated to Hercules. Originally dedicated to the Conversion of Saint Paul, it was the only parish church in Olbia until 1954, when the ancient Basilica of San Simplicio was reopened.

Fausto Noce Park is the green lung of the city. With eighteen hectares of greenery, it was named the second best green project in Italy in 2005.
