After you leave behind the city, the road goes up, zigzagging along the great slope of the hill which dominates the village. Here you will find two amazing overlooks that offer some impressive views.
Seixal, located between Porto Moniz and São Vicente, is an excellent place to stop if you are traveling through the highway of the Northern coast of Madeira. From here you can explore the rocky coast and have a walk in the dock to admire the big cliffs and waterfalls which are on both sides of this little village.
São Vicente is a village located in the mouth of Ribeira Grande, almost hidden in the hole of a cliff, in the island of Madeira, Portugal. Its houses are set around the church and its environment is very initing with good cafes, hotels and numerous shops. The Chapel of St. Vincent Chapel lies on top of a rock in the mouth of the river.
