Picking up our travellers then drive to Dazu county, a small town in north-western Chongqing, our destination would be Baoding ancient rock carings.
The history of Baoding carvings dates back 900 years ago, it's the largest and best preserved ancient stone sculptures and the most well-known Buddhism holy site in southern China. In 1999, Baoding Carvings was inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO.
Those statues were engraved on cliff side to facilitate displaying and being worshiped. It iconically and aesthetically pretty much represents the outstanding ancient Chinese artistic and sculpture craftsmanship achievements.

The car ride from downtown to Baoding will be roughly 1.5 hour and excursion takes 2 hours inside. All travellers need to transfer to the interal shuttle bus and golf car which is mandatory in order to “cultural relics preservation” purpose.
Then we get to downtown Dazu anjoy a typical local lunch. The lunch is on us.
After lunch we'll take a joyful walk through a local park to a hidden highlight of Dazu carvings-a pair of twin giant Buddha and an ancient pagoda with over 900 years old.
They were part of an ancient massive holy temple built up in Song dynasty 900 years ago, both miraculously very much well preserved. The Giant Twin Buddha are over 10 meters tall, financed and built up by local villagers, but the bigger story behind still remain unknown.
That giant pagoda over the twin Buddha is right over them, also 900 years old, designed as a library for precious Buddhism holy documents, still stand solid after been through earthquakes and fire.
The whole place is in a cute small woods, we will not be bothered by crowds, it's like a forgotten corner only attended by local folks, we'll enjoy the fresh air have a relaxed tour.
Then we drive all the way back to downtown Chongqing, we'll deliver our travellers to their hotels or any specified location in downtown.
