Under communism, Tirana was the center of communist party activity. That is why most of the greatest works of that time are widely located in Tirana. Now they are open to the public to visit.

At the city center are located the most important historical places such as National History Museum, the Opera House, Et'hem Bey Mosque and the Clock Tower. and of course the statue of Albanian National Hero named Skanderbeg. A few meters away from Scanderbeg Square is the underground bunker Bunkart 2, turned into a museum telling the fascinating stories of communist times. We will see traces of communism again on the entry of the Block where there are symbolically a war bunker, part of the holders of the infamous Spac mine and part of the Berlin Wall (Gifts from the German government)

On 14 October 1988, the structure opened as the Enver Hoxha Museum, originally serving as a museum about the legacy of Enver Hoxha, the long-time leader of Communist Albania, who had died three years earlier.
In 2018, a new project was unveiled that would open for Creative Technologies under the name of TUMO Center turning the Pyramid into an IT center for youth with a focus on computer programming, robotics, and start ups.

Inside the block area, we will also see dictator Enver Hoxha's house, without having the opportunity to visit inside as it is not open to the public and continue our visit to another very interesting museum: the Hause of Leaves , a building where at the time of communism served as the main place where the state intelligence service spied on its citizens.
