Stop 1

The tour starts at the entrance of the enormous and iconic Colosseum. The largest amphitheatre ever constructed in the Roman Empire was known as "the Flavian Amphitheatre" in its day, and boasted 80 entrances and room for more than 50,000 spectators.

Stop 2

Next, you’ll take a short walk to the Forum, once the centre of life in the ancient city. Here you’ll find the ruins of the Senate House, the Temple of Vesta, the Temple of Saturn, the Altar of the Divine Julius Caesar, the Temple of Gemini, the Basilica Emilia, and the Arch of Septimius Severus, amongst others.

Stop 3

The tour will finish on the Capitoline Hill, which used to house the temples of the most significant Roman gods. There is also a beautiful piazza designed by Michelangelo as well as the Statue of Marcus Aurelius.
