About this experience

Annaba "ex-Bone" is the fourth largest city of Algeria located on the coastline of the Mediterranean sea. It has an excellent natural port that drew the Phoenicians here some 3000 years ago. The town is most famous for the theologian and philosopher Saint Augustine who was formed in Hippo Regius, one of the most beautiful Roman Ruins of Annaba.

We start our visit with the vast ruins of the ancient Roman city and home to the philosopher and theologian Augustine of Hippo with its interesting museum that houses some precious statuaries, mosaics and relics.

Then we drive up to visit Basilica of the 19th century where you can see the nice combination of Moorish and Byzantine architecture, a beautiful interior design, a reliquary of Augustin's arm bone and his statue outside the church.

We drive up to get refreshed with the view and breeze if Cap de Garde, a beautiful seaside on Algeria's Mediterranean coast and a nice view of the peninsula and lighthouse.

We continue up to the Belvedere, at 1000 m of altitude, a magnificent panorama of Annaba.
