Stop 1

Tahrir Square was the focal point of the 2011 Egyptian revolution against former president Hosni Mubarak. In the following days, Tahrir Square continued to be the primary destination for protests in Cairo.

The Qasr El Nil Bridge is a bridge that spans the River Nile connecting Tahrir Square to the Cairo opera complex. The span of the bridge is almost 2 km and an impressive feat of engineering.
