The tour starts in Piazza San Lorenzo, in the shadow of Basilica di San Lorenzo. Here, you’ll discover the story of the powerful Medici family, who shaped Florence’s destiny, and have an opportunity to admire the grand mausoleum created by the genius Michelangelo, the great Italian master, for the Medicis. As you make your way through the city, you’ll be immersed in the elegance of Renaissance architecture.
The tour will start at the Basilica di San Lorenzo, and the San Lorenzo Complex, where Michelangelo and Filippo Brunelleschi meet. However, entry to the church itself is not included in this tour.
In Piazza del Duomo, we will admire the marvels of Florentine medieval and Renaissance art.
Please note: Entry to the Cathedral is free and does not require a ticket, from Monday to Saturday between 10:15 AM and 3:45 PM. The other monuments in the square (the Dome, the Baptistery, and the Bell Tower) require a ticket.
We will take a close look at the place where Dante, Italy’s most important poet, was born. A ticket is required to visit the interior.
Piazza della Signoria is one of the most symbolic places in Florence. Many statues considered absolute masterpieces of art are on public display there.
