Located within Bokor National Park, with its lush primary rainforest and stunning vistas, the Hill Station was built in the early 1920s as a place for the French to escape the lowland heat. It consisted of the Bokor Palace Hotel, a Catholic Church, post office, schoolhouse, King’s residence, and numerous other unknown and abandoned buildings that dot the Landscape.

Stop 1: Kampot town view
Drive the scooter about 12 km up to the hill, we will stop by a parking space where you can see a very breathtaking view of the whole of Kampot town. You will then learn more about Kampot geography with gorgeous river connected from town to the sea.
Stop 2: Black palace
Then we get back on a scooter heading up and will stop at the Black Palace which was
built in 1936 facing to Yeay Mao statue. We also see the old restaurant behind that and
other abandoned buildings nearby.
Stop 3: Wat Sampov Pram
A visit to the old Buddhist temple which was built in 1920, a very beautiful religious
building. Your guild will tell you about Buddhism and see the fabulous scenery behind the
temple. It just about an amazing view from the cliff to lowland.
Stop 4: Catholic Church
After learning about the state religion of Cambodia, then we will see the Catholic
Church which was built the same period of time to the Buddhist temple.
Stop 5: Old Casino ( Reuse as the hotel now)
Well-known as an abandoned casino, unfortunately, it is reused to be hotel nowadays.
So we just make a very short stop there, then we will see the other buildings like Annex
hotel which was built in 1962 and the abandoned royal palace, the cliff behind.
