Stop 1

Besakih Temple is known for being the Mother Temple of Bali and is known locally as Pura Besakih.

The temple is called that way due to the origin of the word Pura which is a Balinese Hindu temple.

Being the largest and holiest temple of Bali, it consists of 86 temples and there is no doubt you will have a great time exploring it.

Built on natural spring, Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple is considered to be one of the most peaceful, tranquil, and prettiest sanctuaries.

The temple boasts several ponds and pools. A large lake will immediately catch your eye when walking down the stairs from the entrance. In the centre of the lake is a fountain, featuring a statue of the Goddess of knowledge, art and music, Sarasvati. Behind the lake is a walled-off area with two pools meant for bathing.

Continuing your exploration north, you will enter the elevated, main temple grounds. This is where you find many shrines, one of which is Candi Bentar; beautifully surrounded by water and making for a great opportunity to shoot a picture-perfect postcard photo.

3

Take a seat on one of Bali Jungle Swings in Ubud to get that insta-worthy picture!

It is exactly what it sounds like: a giant swing where you swing out over the jungle that is Ubud. You get on a wooden bench swing and get harnessed in to ensure that you don’t fall off!

This will include approximate drive time

4

Tibumana Waterfall Bali is one of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls near Ubud. Luckily, only a few people know about it!
