Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Diamond Beach is an untouched, white-sand and silky blue water bay on the eastern tip of Nusa Penida. It just recently became accessible to the public as it used to be one of Nusa Penida’s last “untouched” beaches.

The long stretch of pristine sand and clear blue sea means that Diamond Beach is the perfect spot to relax, swim and lay in the sun for a few hours.

2

Atuh Beach is a stunning white sand beach surrounded by huge cliffs and remarkable rock formations. An arch sits directly out from the shore while several islets string off in the distance.

3
Stop 3

Thousand Islands Viewpoint is definitely one of the most spectacular spots to take in the warm ocean breeze and spend a moment appreciating exactly where you are.

There are several viewpoints that have had fences and structures added to them for the benefit of tourists. There are huge drop-offs here so the fences are to keep tourists safe!

If you are looking to beef up your instagram feed and make your friends jealous, then you will definitely want to snap some pictures from Atuh Beach & Thousand Islands Viewpoint.

4

Peguyangan or Tembeling Waterfall is a destination that has a mix of everything. Up and down those steep blue stairs is a workout. Then you add in the spectacular coastal cliff views that are the trademark of the island and take a dip in the natural pool. Finally mix that in with the tradition and culture of the sacred temple and the waterfall, which is a pilgrimage site and you have this awesome blend in one spot!

5

The Goa Giri Putri Temple is one of Nusa Penida Island’s major cultural attractions. The large cave temple is in the village of Suana, on the north-eastern part of Penida. A shrine and a priests’ praying shelter guards its entrance. The entrance itself is uniquely a narrow opening in a rock face. You’ll need to stoop down low to be able to squeeze and get through. Inside, you’ll discover a spacious temple courtyard. Floorings before the main shrines in the cave’s corner are partly covered in white marble.
