We've designed this food walk of Old Delhi for foodies who wish to enjoy food as well as learn the details of local cuisines, culinary culture and significance of food dishes. This food walk is led by chefs from Delhi who have years of experience and detailed knowledge of food culture of the city and is a good way to learn about as well taste some great local food.
You will visit 7-9 shops in Old Delhi which serve special breakfast food of Old Delhi and taste 15-17 food items like kachori, kulfi, lassi, chaat and various other seasonal delicacies. The food is sourced from some of oldest and most popular food shops and is perfectly safe to eat. It is mainly vegetarian food with a few meat dishes which have been part of local culinary culture for centuries.
Chandni Chowk is a centuries old market area with specialised markets selling clothing, jewelry, shoes, spices, food and a lot of other things. We'll stop at some of food shops to sample their offerings.
Chawri Bazar is a bustling market area with shops selling wedding cards, bathroom fittings and of course food. We'll sample food from 4-6 places here
Khari Baoli is the biggest spice market in Asia. We'll walk around the area and sample food from 2-3 old shops
