We will stop at 3,000 feet (about 1,000 meters) in the parking area, where you can begin your hike to the summit of the crater of this active — though currently dormant — volcano.

Tickets must be purchased online on the official Vivaticket website at 2:00 PM, and they are available only one month in advance:
