We’ll start our journey at Akumal Beach, a tropical paradise known for its beautiful sea turtles. I’ll introduce you to some local friends, and after gearing up with snorkels and life jackets, we’ll take a short boat ride out to the reef. You’ll have the chance to snorkel among eagle rays, colorful fish, squid, and the amazing sea turtles that call this place home.
From the sea, we’ll make our way into the jungle to a private reserve that shelters a spectacular underground river. With flashlights in hand, we’ll walk through a cave decorated with stalactites before arriving at a hidden cenote with crystal-clear waters—perfect for a refreshing swim and a quiet moment surrounded by nature.
We’ll wrap up the adventure with a stop at one of my favorite local taquerias, where you can enjoy a variety of authentic Mexican tacos, freshly made and full of flavor.
