Arriving from the highway, a panoramic view of the town by the sea and its Cathedral will leave you breathless. The narrow streets, which offer glimpses of the sea at every angle, old houses and craft shops, will take you towards the main square where the imposing Cathedral stands, in Arab-Norman style, with inside decorations with Byzantine mosaics of Christ Pantocrator.
Castelbuono: located in the Madonie valley, the village is surrounded by oak, chestnut, cherry and ash woods, from which the highly prized manna is obtained. Walking through the narrow streets of the town you will notice the great vocation of the village for the preparation of desserts.
On the historic town stands the Castle wanted by the Ventimiglia family inside which is the Palatine Chapel. Of great interest is also the Church of SS Maria Assunta.
