Detailed itinerary

1

10-00 We start the excursion to Kazbegi with a visit to the Zhinvali reservoir, which is considered one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. Along the shore of the reservoir an old road passes, known as far back as I century BC. Greek historian Strabo. This road from the time of the Russian Empire is called the Georgian Military.

2

The next stop will be at the Fortress Ananuri, which belongs to the early feudal era and served as an outpost of defense, blocking the road leading from the Darial Gorge. The perimeter walls, towers, temples and even floors are almost preserved. The square tower is considered to be the most favorite place for photo shoots for tourists. Having climbed to the very top, we will explore amazing landscapes.

3

The most beautiful mountain landscapes along the Georgian Military Road can be seen not far from the ski resort of Gudauri - this is the Friendship of Nations arch, which in fact is an excellent observation platform with beautiful panoramic views of the surroundings.

4

Then you look at the village of Kazbegi. And there, in the clouds, at the top of the mountain, on the snow-covered rocks stands an amazing temple, Gergettskaya Sameba. It is located at an altitude of 2,170 m at the foot of Kazbegi, along the Georgian Military Highway, in the Georgian village of Gergeti. The Gerget trio is the most "mountain" of the churches of Georgia.

5

Next, a short trekking to the two-stage Gveletskomu Falls. This two-stage beautiful natural monument is located in the Darial Gorge. The track lasts about 30 minutes.

6
Stop 6

In Pasanauri we will enjoy the scenery of the confluence of white and black Aragvi. Upon request, we will visit the taverns, where we will try the most delicious khinkali, since it is believed that it was in this region that the recipe of this beautiful traditional Georgian dish was created.
