The Bóvedas barracks or Santa Clara vaults are a military structure attached to the walls, between the bastions of Santa Catalina and Santa Clara, which closed the ring of the urban fortification of the Old City of Cartagena, in Colombia.

The Cloister was founded in 1617 by the Order of Our Lady of Barefoot Mercy and was used as a barracks, prison, court and is currently a university headquarters. Here you will find part of the ashes of the Colombian writer, Nobel Prize winner in Literature in 1982.

Former seat of the inquisition court of the Catholic Church, the building was built in 1770 in colonial and baroque style. In 1953, it became the headquarters of the Historical Museum of Cartagena.
