Ann Dewalt cheetah" most likely refers to the cheetahs at the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre (formerly known as the De Wildt Cheetah Research Centre) in South Africa.
Ann van Dyk was the founder of this renowned center in 1971. She dedicated her life to the conservation of cheetahs and other endangered species.
The center is located in the North West Province of South Africa, near Brits and the Hartbeespoort Dam.
It was the first facility in the world to breed cheetahs successfully in captivity on a sustainable basis.
The center played a crucial role in removing the cheetah from South Africa's endangered species list in 1986 due to its successful breeding program. Over 600 cheetah cubs have been born there since its inception.
