Meet your guide in piazza Bellini, by the Greek Walls, and be ready to start the tour. You will soon enter the historical centre of Naples by via dei Tribunali, one of the main streets – the decumanus – of the ancient city of Neapolis.

Stop 2

At the Tempietto del Pontano you will hear the incredible story of the Church of the Holy Stone before heading to via Atri.

Stop 3

There you will stop to sample fresh buffalo mozzarella – the taste is incomparable. Your journey through the Neapolitan culinary tradition has only just begun; you could try the pasta e patate con la provola or the original ragu – pippiato, cooked to  grandma’s recipe; be intrigued by the pizza fritta and discover the unique flavour of the frittatina.

Stop 4

To have a break from all of the food, you will visit the small limoncello factory in the heart of the historical centre and take a shot of the famous liqueur, which will help you digest before heading to piazza del Plebiscito.

Stop 5

Finally, you can round off your tour with a coffee and a pastry at the famous café Gambrinus and hear the anecdote of the ‘suspended coffee’.

The tour will last for 4 hours, and you will be led across the city, starting from the historical centre, passing via dei Tribunali, San Gregorio Armeno, Spaccanapoli, piazza San Domenico, piazza del Gesu and then walking down via Toledo till the amazing piazza del Plebiscito meets your eyes.

Meeting point

Please meet your guide at Piazza Dante under the statue of Dante in the middle of the square. The guide will be holding a sign written "FOOD TOUR".

Important notes

Please make sure you arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes early. Naples is a very busy city, please, make sure to arrive on time, leave earlier your accommodation or you may lose the tour due traffic jam. The tour will start sharp on time at 6pm. We strongly suggest you to not reach the city center by car (if so leave very early). If you are coming from the Amalfi Coast make sure to leave very early (more than 2 hours, there are a lot of traffic jam on the way to Naples). It's NOT possible to join the activity once it has started. This is key to ensuring the quality of your experience.
