Stop 1

Pompeii: This three-hour guided tour on foot of Pompeii with me will help you imagine the everyday life of the Roman Empire and imagine the panic felt by the people in those last few minutes before the city was so disastrously buried. If you feel like, we'll have a break for a snack and by train we'll reach Herculaneum (20-minute train journey + 10 minute walk).

Stop 2

Herculaneum: We'll visit Herculaneum on foot for 2 hours. Much smaller than Pompeii - about 5, 000 people lived in the city at the time of the eruption, it was certainly wealthier and more select. Unlike Pompeii, wooden structures and furniture have survived.
