Meet our guide at the Tränenpalast museum at Friedrichstrasse Station to learn about how the post-war landscape of destroyed Berlin came to be divided and find itself at the heart of cold-war power struggles between East and West.

Nordbanhof Station is a former ghost-station once strewn with barbed wire and manned by DDR border soldiers. You will learn about how the city's infrastructure came to be divided between East and West and the complications this presented within the day-to-day realities of inhabitants to live, travel and work on both sides of the wall.

See how the city has preserved remnants of its difficult past. Our guide will provide a detailed explanation of the different phases of wall building and place this within the broader geo-political landscape of the Cold War.

We will survey the photo’s of those killed at wall and hear the personal stories of those who fell victim to the DDR border regime.

At the Documentation Centre of the Wall to gain an unobstructed birds-eye view of the preserved ‘Death Strip’, untouched since 1989.
