Your guide will pick you up at your accommodation, this will kindly invite you to take a walk through the streets that tell our story and leave a great legacy in our city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO; returning to life the golden period of the walled city with stone and its hidden treasures. Minutes later, you will visit the museums of gold and the Inquisition, as well as some colonial-republican properties, discovering not only the great value of Spanish architecture, but also learning about the local life in these periods and their cruel dedication to the crown Spanish. After the walk, it is necessary to stop and breathe the fresh breeze and enjoy a tropical drink, for that reason, you will head to a pleasant place with stunning views of the sunset in the Caribbean Sea (only applies when you start to from 2:00 pm).

Stop 2

It is a historic building of almost 3,500 square meters, located in the walled city of Cartagena de Indias, which is divided into two large wings: Colonial and Republican.

The history of navigation and the Colombian Navy.

Colonial Wing: It was built in colonial times, it preserves intact the architectural structure with which it was built in the early seventeenth century to become the headquarters of the first school of the company of Jesus in America and the late eighteenth century. The building served as the headquarters of the mayor hospital of San Carlos. After independence, it became the San Juan de Dios charity hospital.

Republican wing: Name that has been given to the neoclassical architectural design that was used in the modification of the room in the 20th century, to serve as a shelter for the first infantry battalion of the Colombian Navy. Touring its facilities is a time of great battles and embody great characters who led the independence of Colombia.
