The monastery was built by order of Emperor Justinian I, enclosing the Chapel of the Burning Bush ordered to be built by St. Helen, the mother of Constantine I, at the site where Moses is supposed to have seen the burning bush; the living bush on the grounds is purportedly the original. It is also referred to as "St. Helen's Chapel". The site is sacred to Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

You will be picked up from your hotel at approximately 7.00am (exact details will be confirmed locally) by an A/C van, then head to St. Catherine City on the 230 Kilometers drive of two and half hours.

Inside the monastery you will see the Burning Bush, Moses well (where Moses met his wife) & the Transfiguration Church.

Then you will take free time if you would like to climb up one of the surrounding mountains to take a panoramic view for the whole monastery.

Then you will drive back to Dahab City (Dahab is one of the beautiful cities in South Sinai, it is far from Sharm about 100 km) to take your lunch at a sea front restaurant and you will have the chance to do some shopping as Dahab is the biggest shopping area in South Sinai, where you will get the chance to purchase different kinds of souvenirs.

Finally you will drive back to Sharm el-Sheikh.
