About this experience

In this tour, you will have a great taste of Athens! During your private tour you will visit the sacred Rock of the Acropolis with the Parthenon, admire the remains of Zeus’s Temple, visit the modern Olympic, Panathenaic or “Kalimarmaro” stadium, and then pass through the National Gardens into the heart of the city. You will also see the Syntagma Square and witness the hourly change of the guards, in front of the Greek Parliament. During the tour you will also see the famous trilogy of neoclassical architecture, the National Library, the Academy of Arts and Sciences and the first University of Athens. Afterwards, we will head uptown to Kolonaki, where elite fashion and couture shops, meet with beautiful sidewalk cafes. Later we will go downtown to the vibrant fish and meat market, before we head to Monastiraki Square. Finally, if time and traffic permits, you will witness a breathtaking view of everything you’ve seen so far, from the highest point of the city, the Lycabettus Hill!

Stop 1

The Athens Sightseeing usually starts at the Acropolis hill, with well known architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens that includes Erechtheion (female statues of the Caryatides or Maidens dedicated to goddess Athena and god Poseidon), the temple of Athena Nike and Propylaea. You will also have a great chance to foresee the monument (that puts an order in mind), which is the Parthenon. From the top of the Acropolis hill you can see, the Odeon of Herodus Atticus, the Theatre of Dionysus and the Areopagus (Mars Hill).
