you will go to the Kwame Nkrumah Museum to learn about the great Pan-African and icon who championed the course for Africa's independence and liberation. You will visit the Arts and Crafts Centre to purchase carvings and arts. You will visit the Black Star Square and Independence Square which are world famous symbols of Ghana's unique cultural heritage to learn about Ghana's post-colonial history especially its renowned journey to independence in 1957.

Makola Market was constructed in Accra in 1924 and stood at the heart of the urban Ghanaian life. This market is the main wholesale and retail marketplace in Accra, the epicenter of trade in the country and one of the nation's most important social and cultural institutions.

Stop 3

Founded in 1957, the National Museum of Ghana is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. The museum has three primary collection areas; archaeology, ethnography, and art, which are used to weave together a story about Ghana's rich cultural history. Objects range in age from the Stone Age to the recent past, and include indigenous Ghanaian musical instruments, beads, traditional textiles, furniture and pottery.

We will continue to Jamestown to under take a drive through tour of one of the oldest and vibrant neighborhoods in Accra. We will also visit one of the boxing gyms in Jamestown as Jamestown is known to be the heartbeat of Ghanaian boxing history.
