Fiordland is a remote wilderness area. Events which may impact on our tours and a client's comfort and safety include environmental conditions such as extreme weather, remote locations, natural events such as earthquake, avalanche, flooding, landslide, rough terrain, travel on sealed and unsealed roads, travel in boats and aircraft operated by third parties. On our Guided Day Hikes risks and hazards also include walking for a sustained period over sometimes steep and or rough terrain, injury, medical event/fatigue. Trips & Tramps has a robust Safety Management System to manage hazards, risks and emergencies of our tours and transport. Guests must disclose any medical conditions at time of booking, or any new conditions at time of travel. The guide reserves the right to amend the trip or a client’s participation at any time if they believe safety, or the safety of others may be compromised or if the client is not adequately prepared, or does not participate in good faith.
In participating in the activity, the customer confirms:
* They are physically fit to participate, have disclosed any relevant medical information, and meet the minimum fitness levels required.
* They consent to receive medical treatment in the case of injury, accident, or illness during the activity and to indemnify the Operator against any claims, costs or expenses in respect of the evacuation and or treatment.
* They will bring suitable clothing, footwear and equipment for the tour as outlined.
* They will follow the directions of Trips & Tramps staff and any third-party operators, and will participate in good faith.
* Caregivers will supervise their children at all times and ensure they follow the directions of staff and third-party operators.

These caves are famous for their glowworms, which create a magical, star-like effect on the cave ceilings. The caves are accessible only by guided boat tour and walking tour.
