Stop 1

The backbone of historical Bucharest, Victoriei Avenue crosses the Old Town going north to the Atheneum and the former Royal Palace. The most beautiful monuments of the city are located on this major street and you'll see most of them during this private tour. Stops at the Atheneum, Revolution Square, Military Circle, CEC Palace, National Museum of History.

This 19th-century monument is one of the must-see attractions of Bucharest. A testimony of the Romanian love for classical music, the Atheneum is a splendid historical monument featuring an impressive 75 meters fresco in the concert hall.

The Revolution Square is not only the place of the violent Romanian Revolution from December 1989, but also the space where two distinct parts of the country's history clash: the royal past and the communist dictatorship.

The University Square is the central space of Bucharest where you'll discover the small 21st of December Square where many people lost their lives during the Romanian Revolution, the University Palace and historical monuments like the National Theater, Sutu Palace and Coltea Hospital.

The oldest part of the capital where the ruins of the medieval court and major 19th and 20th-century monuments are located. Stops at the Old Court, Manuc Inn, Stavropoleos Monastery, Lipscani Street, the National Bank of Romania, the Linden Inn.

The Choral Temple is the surviving testimony of what was once the strong Jewish community of Bucharest. Located just a few minutes from the Old Town, the Choral Temple is one of the most outstanding historical monuments in the capital and a must-see if you want to uncover more of hidden Bucharest.

The tour ends in the Constitution Square, a large ensemble of buildings done during the last communist decade. The Parliament or the House of the People, the second largest administrative building in the world, occupies the central space.
