Chaouen, or Chefchaouen as in Berber language, is one of the most beautiful towns of the Rif Mountains. It is the last rampart before the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula. A holy city with about twenty mosques and sanctuaries, it has charming powder- blue houses as well as the trademark dazzling lime-washed houses with blue doors. Free time for lunch and departure to Tetouan.
Upon arrival in Tetouan, you will have 2 hours of free time to explore the city at your own pace. Discover Tetouan’s old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich history. Once a pirate hub and later the capital of Spanish Morocco, Tetouan has deep cultural influences from Andalusian Jews, Moors, and Moriscos who resettled here in the 16th century after fleeing the Spanish Inquisition.
