Established in 1829 & in a newly renovated Neoclassic building, this is the pre-eminent Archaeological Museum in Greece which houses the pick of Greece’s Archaeological treasures uncovered over the past centuries. Consequently, you will be treated to many of the most unique and amazing masterpieces ever produced. Permanent displays include bronzes such as the famous charioteer, the Antikythera mechanism and first working computer produced by the ancient Greeks 1000 years before anything similar, the Mycenean gold & jewellery horde from the tombs of Agamemnon in the citadel in Mycenae, and countless others.

Our expert guides are fully Licenced Official Archaeological guides and recognized experienced Experts who will take you through all these highlights. They are also wonderful communicators & will naturally adapt things to any level of knowledge so if you are a visiting History Professor or just want the photo highlights, your tour will flow accordingly.
