At the time of your choice, your informative & professional Tour driver will be at your Hotel reception or other residence promptly to escort you on your tour. Delphi is situated in the area of Mt. Parnassus and from Athens, your route passes through a beautiful mix of rural farmland and increasing elevation along with wonderful hillside views. Along the way, learn about the depth of History in Delphi, its Mythology, the cultural elements of ancient life, and all the main things you will see during your visit.

Set in beautiful countryside on the slopes of Mt Parnassos we next visit one of the most important and well preserved Byzantine Monasteries in existence, & which is UNESCO listed. Explore its 1100 year old Architecture along with its unique & impressive fresco's

Lunch Stop. Spend time enjoying the local craft shops & wonderful views over the Plestos valley.

Inset on wide terraces along the hillside we are fortunate that the landslides of previous centuries preserved much of the ancient remains for us, including the 4th century BC temple of Apollo, the Castilian spring of Mythology, theatre, treasury buildings, temples of Athena and Gymnasium where athletes gathered before the Pythian games to bathe in the sacred waters. During your visit to Delphi, you can still see the physical structures associated with this incredibly long history.

Stop 5 Pass by

At a short distance inside the Archaeological site, you will find the 4th century BC temple of Apollo, the epicenter of the mystical ceremony from where the Oracle spoke her prophecies.

Stop 6

A beautiful addition to the site is the modern museum which displays finds stretching back in time to at least 1500 BC, including many of the sculptures & other unique pieces that adorned the temples & streets of the ancient city at its peak around the 4th century BC. Outstanding pieces include the Naxos Sphynx, the twin Kouroi, and famous Bronze Charioteer among others. When you are ready, your driver will return you safely to your location in Athens.
