The Attica region is surrounded on 3 sides by the sea so no wonder that dozens of beaches are available. The best ones are found along the so called 'Athens Riviera' along your route and are more organised but there are also many further towards The Temple of Poseidon if you prefer something quieter. At the southernmost point of the Peninsula of Athens we come to the Temple of Poseidon. Located 70 meters on a clifftop this amazing temple was dedicated to the God Poseidon. It was the last thing Ancient sailors saw on leaving port & the first site on their return. Rich in myth and legend, you will learn many of its associated stories as well as its fascinating history.
If choosing the extended (platinum) package you will have the time to enjoy this natural rock formation & small lake which is set just off the sea front. The waters of this spring have been used by locals for decades as a health treatment & you will have the option of stopping here for a swim. The site is also equipped with changing faclities.
