Mindo is a town located at northwest of Quito, 2 hours driving. The cloud forest has an incredible diversity of avian fauna, particularly hummingbirds, as well as butterflies. This area of primary forest with an immense biodiversity also has some of the highest rates of plant endemism in the world: orchids, bromeliads, heliconias, ferns, vines, mosses and lichens grow in abundance here.

In the morning we'll be picked up from our hotel by our driver guide to take the Northwest of Quito with direction to Mindo one of the most visited cloud forests in Ecuador.
To get to Mindo will take us around 2 hours, once we arrive to the town we will visit a great place in order to admire many species of hummingbirds. The next stop is at butterfly garden where we will see the 4 stages of the butterfly life, surrounded by 1200 colorful butterflies at the same time. Our next point is the artisan chocolate factory; here you will have the opportunity to know the process to produce a delicious and pure chocolate from the cacao bean. If we have time there is a chance to have fun doing Canopy (Zip-Line/optional). Finally, we return to Quito.
For those with limited time who were not able to visit Middle of the World we may stop at this place on the way back from Mindo without extra cost (Entrance fee NOT included), please just write down this request and we will make possible.
