As Turanj is a suburb of the city Karlovac, visiting Croatian War of Independence Museum is the best place to learn more about that period. This modern and interactive museum will will not leave you indifferent. Afterthat, we will go to visit Dubovac Castle and to go back in the history, in the medevial time and see why this area was always of great importance and the place of frequent conflicts. In Turanj is a suburb of the city of Karlovac and home of Croatian War of Independence Museum - modern and interactive museum that will teach you a lot about war in Croatia in the 90's. During the war there was the first line of battlefields and it is the best place which testifies of the hard times.

The Dubovac Castle overlooks the Croatian city Karlovac and it was owned by Karlovac generals. The castle was used for several years recently as a hotel, and the damage done to the interior to accommodate rooms is now being repaired. There are museum exhibits and a large model of the countryside. Guide materials indicate that the fortress was built on a hill constructed by the people in order to maximize defenses and views of the surrounding areas.
