Located on a narrow peninsula surrounded by turquoise waters, the Cape of Rodon is the perfect spot for a relaxing beach getaway. This place is an ideal destination for nature lovers, offering stunning views, beaches and historical sights.
Our first stop is the 15th-century castle built by Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg. Nestled in the Cape of Rodon, the castle reaches a length of about 400 meters, with round towers all along the perimeter.
We will also visit the Church of Saint Anthony at Cape of Rodon. This small 13th-century church is a hidden spiritual gem surrounded by unspoiled nature and dramatic coastal views. Along the way, you will be introduced to the fascinating history of the site, including its connection to Albania's cultural and religious heritage.
As we walk the cape, we’ll encounter bunkers from Albania’s communist era, silent reminders of the country’s unique and isolated past. We will learn about their purpose and the unique history of Albania's isolationist period.
The rest of the day you will have some time to relax along the cape’s white-sand beaches, where you can unwind by the sea, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or take a short walk through the lush landscape.
