Der Neue Leuchtturm steht als südlichster Leuchtturm Deutschlands in Lindau im Bodensee und ist damit auch der einzige Leuchtturm in Bayern.

Der Pulverturm steht am westlichsten Punkt der Lindauer Insel - er wurde im Jahr 1508 im Rahmen der Stadtummauerung gebaut.

LINDENSCHANZE
Im Mittelalter noch am nordwestlichsten Stadtrand gelegen, verbindet heute die Thierschbrücke über die Bahngleise die Hauptinsel mit der „Hinteren Insel“. Lokalhistoriker vermuten, dass bis 1527 an dieser Stelle ein Freudenhaus gestanden haben soll.

Die Sternschanze befindet sich am westlichen Ende der Thierschbrücke (Bahngleise) mit einer kleinen Aussichtsplattform. Von dort hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Schachener Ufer mit seinen Villen und bis zur Halbinsel Wasserburg. Abends bietet die Sternschanze einen Logenplatz für spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge.
