A spooky self-guided walking tour game through Stockholm.
You have made new friends in an online forum. They have found an old journal and are trying to solve the mysterious disappearance of its owner. The old notes contain descriptions of a headless horseman haunting Old Town. Maybe the journal also offers the clues needed to find out what happened?
You are invited to join an investigation, but one of your new friends never shows up at your agreed meeting spot.
Follow clues through central Stockholm. Participate in the story in each location through gamification. Examine items and crack codes while you explore the city's historical surroundings.
This audio walking tour game is selfguided via a GPS-based app downloaded to your phone. When you buy the tour you'll receive an email with instructions on how to access the app which is your guide and narrator. Listen to the story while you walk, and solve puzzles in each location. You can start, pause and end the tour when you want.
This self-guided walking tour game starts at Slottskajen, outside the Royal Palace and the Three Crowns museum. Once you are there, open the app and start the Headless Horseman walking tour game.
You have come to the Royal Palace to meet two people you've gotten to know through an online ghost hunter forum. They have invited you to join an investigation of the 200-year-old disappearance of Ichabod Crane. But, as you stand waiting, only one of your new friends show up outside the palace...
You'll walk through Stockholm's Old Town area during this tour. This island is the original city of Stockholm, as the city was first established here in the 1200's.
You and your companion head over to Solgränd, and the building where Ichabod once lived, to see if you can find clues to his disappearance, and maybe even find your friend.
You have met with a witness, who had a scary encounter with the Headless Horseman. She points you towards Mårten Trotzig's alley, which is the most narrow alley in Stockholm. You will be able to stand in the alley and touch both opposite walls at the same time.
You walk up the alley to investigate some strange noises...
Your friend is still missing, but you are desperately trying to find her. A passage of Ichabod's journal leads to the Gustav Vasa statue.
Gustav Vasa was the King of Sweden during 1523-1560 and lead the Swedish War of Liberation following the Stockholm Bloodbath, where his father was executed.
You reach the Riddarholmen church, which is the church of the former medieval Greyfriars Monastery. Parts of it dates back to the late 13:th century. This seems to be the last location where Ichabod was seen, and traces from your friend lead you here as well.
What will you discover outside the church that might clear up both disappearances?
Since this is a self-guided walking tour, there will be no guide to meet you. Instead, you go to the starting point, open the mobile app on your phone and start the tour. The starting point of this tour is located outside the entrance of Museum Tre Kronor at Slottskajen in Stockholm, Sweden.
