Stop 1

Our First destination would be the ultimate Diamond Beach, also known as Breiðamerkursandur or Crystal Beach, which is a stunning black sand beach located on the southeastern coast of Iceland, adjacent to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The Beach is a natural feature that was formed by the melting and sculpting of icebergs as they washed ashore. Nonetheless, the beach has become a popular tourist destination and is now equipped with a parking lot and an observation platform.
However, Visitors can walk along the beach and admire the ice formations. During the winter months, the beach is especially magical, as the ice formations are often covered with snow, and the Northern Lights can be seen overhead.

When the weather is clear, it is visible from Skaftafell and Kirkjubaejarklaustur, which are located to the south of the Vatnajokull ice cap.
The park offers a range of activities for visitors, including hiking, ice climbing, glacier walks, and wildlife watching.

Even though Vik is small, tourists love to visit it because of the amazing hiking trails. Not just that, you can ride horses and even go native bird watching. The Reynisfjara beach, known for its unique basalt columns and towering sea stacks, is one of Vik's main attractions. However, If you go off the road from Vik there are the famous Katla ice caves.

It is located off the southern coast of Iceland near the village of Vík í Mýrdal. The waves are frequently strong and unpredictable, making it a popular destination for both surfers and photographers. However, anyone visiting Iceland should go to this hauntingly beautiful beach. If you get to experience the beach, you will hear locals telling all sorts of myths and legends about the region.
