About this experience

Arusha National Park is the closest national park to Arusha town covering an area of 137 sq. km and is about 60kms from Kilimanjaro International Airport. The Park has a wide range of habitats, from the string of crater lakes where many water birds can be watched, through the highland montane forest and on up to the imposing summit of Mt. Meru. The interesting geology of the area is reflected in the impressive view of the ash cone and cliff face leading to the summit of Mt. Meru.

Detailed itinerary

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha in the morning where you will be met by your guide.  Enjoy a drive from your hotel to the Arusha National Park.  You will spend the day in a private and 4x4 safari jeep customized for safaris and wildlife viewing.

Your guide will make all the park fee payments at the gate and you will continue onwards to an enjoyable day exploring Arusha National Park including various sights, lakes and wildlife sightings.  Be prepared with your camera to photograph a wide variety of animals.  Some of the species that live in this park include zebra, giraffe, buffalo, warthog, monkeys, flamingo and various other birdlife. 

Your guide will select a special area to stop for lunch.  After lunch you will continue with a game drive and thereafter return back to your hotel in Arusha.
