Overview
Anadolu Kavagi is a historic castle located on the Asian side of the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul. It offers panoramic views of the strait and is a popular spot for both tourists and locals.
The castle was built in 1393 by the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I to control the Bosphorus. It is one of the two castles that command the strait, the other being the Rumeli Fortress on the European side.
